Finding Coombe Lane Car Park Axminster from the South
This car park is in a network of one-way streets. Access is only possible from the B3261 down either South Street or Coombe Lane.
If you are coming in from the south of the town drive all the way through and at The George pub take the right fork (more a straight on). Pass the NCP Car Park on your right and then turn immediate right down South Street.
Pass South Street Car Park on your right and go straight on for 200 yards.
This narrow one way street then opens out with a turning on your left, turn left here and the car park can be seen ahead.
Finding Coombe Lane Car Park (From the A35)
Leave the A35 on to the B3261 signed to Axminster. (And A358 Chard/Taunton) This junction is called Symonds Lane.
Go straight ahead for around 1.5 miles and look out for the leisure Centre on the right. Soon after it turn left down Coombe Lane (a one way street).
The car park may be found at the end on the left.
Finding Coombe Lane Car Park (From the North)
If coming from the north as you enter Axminster stay on the A358 to the heart of the town.
At the T junction in the centre of town turn left then immediatly turn right down South Street.
Pass South Street Car Park on your right and go straight on for 200 yards.
This narrow one way street then opens out with a turning on your left, turn left here and the car park can be seen ahead.
How much does it cost to park at Coombe Lane Car Park
The charge is 50 pence for every 30 minutes you intend to stay.
Once you have paid £3 then you can stay for 24 hours.
Parking is free after 6 p.m.
The car park has 87 spaces.

Getting in to Axminster town centre
Leave the car park and walk down to South Street.
From here the quickest way to reach the town is to go more or less straight on down Church Street. You could, of course, turn right and walk back up South Street the way you came in, and at the top of it turn left to access the town from the top.
Leaving the car park by car:
On exit you have one two options because of the network of one way streets..
Either proceed down Church Street more or less opposite the exit to the town centre (to head north out of the town) or turn left down South Street to the end and join the A358 and from there head straight on towards Seaton and the A35 (best for South, East and West).
